Guests coming over and short of time? Or just fancy treating yourself to a little luxury that requires minimum work. Try these four simple homemade desserts and pair them up with these wines that compliments them perfectly.
We picked four delicious wines from local English vineyard Bluebell and four yummy but simple dessert recipes to make the perfect wine and dessert pairings.
Lemon Cheesecake & Blanc de Blancs
This lemon cheesecake is a simple but deliciously creamy dessert that doesn’t require baking for added ease. Pair it effortlessly with the Bluebell Blanc de Blancs for a perfect match: the bracing acidity of the wine provides a bright, refreshing and elegant sherbet-like sharpness beautifully complimenting the fresh, citrus desert, while cutting through the rich creaminess.
The glass: we used our classically elegant Adina Prestige Sparkling Wine Glass.

Eton Mess & Brut Rosé
The simple but indulgent Eton Mess with sweet meringue, fresh strawberries and a creamy finish, pairs deliciously with Bluebell’s Brut Rosé. The wild strawberries, rosé petal, cranberry and soft smoke on the nose compliment the fruit; while the zingy freshness and clean crispiness on the palate cuts through this wonderfully sweet and light desert.
The Bluebell Brut Rosé was recently rated 17.5 / 20 on British world-renowned Jancis Robinson’s website. It also took the top mark for a Rosé at the prestigious Judgement of Parsons Green, beating 92 other English Sparkling Wines from 47 different producers.
The glass: we completed this stylish pairing with a Style Champagne Flute.

Apple Crumble & Classic Cuvee
This sweet and chewy apple crumble with fresh, crisp apples requires a light touch when baking for a delicious result. The beautifully soft Classic Cuvee similarly displays biscuit and apple aromas on the nose with crisp clean apple fruit pierced with fresh citrus flavours on the palate, a lingering toasty finish and creamy texture. Top off this perfect pairing with a spoonful of creamy vanilla ice cream or cream for a match made in heaven!
The glass: for this pairing we used our beautifully exquisite Willsberger Anniversary Champagne Flute.

Caramelised Peaches And Cream & Seyval Blanc
The easiest dessert of the bunch: caramelise sugar and heat the peaches in it for 10 minutes. An effortless dessert with a decadent result, which we complimented with some homemade vanilla cream we whipped up. For further luxury, pair the sweet caramel peaches with of a glass of Seyval Blanc: pale gold in the glass with lovely mousse and corona. With an exuberant aromatic and floral nose, featuring nostalgic hints of an English rose garden and freshly buttered toast. On the palate there is good stone-fruit intensity with soft honeyed notes followed by good length.
The glass: we used our Authentis Champagne Glass, a range which is also recommended by Dom Perignon.
